He is also been the host for several Radio Garden Shows, and a much sought after public speaker. 

Mr. Haehle has written numerous columns and articles for The Sun-Sentinel, South Florida Home & Garden, Florida Nurseryman, and others.   He and Joan Brookwell are co-authors of Native Florida Plants.  Robert Haehle passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013

M.E. DePalma is an avid gardener specializing in butterfly gardening.  Her property has been recognized as both a National and a Florida Backyard Wildlife Habitat.  Ms. DePalma is an honors graduate of the University of Kansas where she was awarded the masters fellowship to pursue an MS in Industrial & Organizational Psychology.  She has written seminars and training programs for  corporations, articles for trade journals and gardening articles for The Sun-Sentinel  and “Birds & Blooms” Magazine.

Ms. DePalma works as a model, industrial consultant and private investigator.  She  has her own web design company on the Internet at DePalma Enterprises and was the founding web master for the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, a reader for the Library of Congress through Insight for the Blind, an “Entre Nous” supporter of the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival, a member of the Attorney General’s Senior vs.Crime project and works with her dog, Duke, who is a therapy dog for Hospice-Vitas.

Both the authors are committed to helping others create special places in their own yard for themselves and the wild creatures of the earth.   A desire to help those in need was the motivating force for selecting Landscaping of Habitat for Humanity Homes as the project to benefit from part of the proceeds from the sale of "A Garden Diary - A Guide to Gardening In South Florida".  "By beautifying HFH homes, we are able to make a difference in the lives of those in need, in our communities, and in the environment."
